Medusa or Gorgo. It was a primordial pre-Olympus monster that petrified anyone who dared to look at her. The only one who dared was Poseidon. The result of this coexistence was the acquisition of children, who were born during the death of Medusa, caused by Perseus. Due to its nature, the Gorgoneio was considered an amulet by the enemies. The goddess Athena, Alexander the Great and warships had a Gorgoneio on them.
