Athena Promachos. Pausanias reports: "THE GREAT COPPER OF ATHENS". Work of Pheidias, placed between the Propylaea and the Erechtheum of the Acropolis. Its height was superior to the monuments and it is said that it was visible from Sounio. Armor her costume with each "weapon" to be a masterpiece and of course, like almost everything in Ancient Greece, with many and important symbolism. Her spear higher than the Parthenon, her shield made with the battle of Lapiths with the Centaurs. In 465 BC he was transferred to Constantinople and since then his fate is unknown.
