Caryatid. One of the beautiful Athenians who support the enthronement of the Erechtheion on the sacred rock of the Acropolis. Women of the Laconian city of Karyes "condemned" to slavery because the city slaughtered them during the Persian wars. They retain the excellent feature of the spiral tentacles of the hair as well as the folds, raised in some parts of their clothes. Worldwide, Caryatis, in addition to its architectural quality, perfect and artistic performance, is a symbol of claiming the inalienable right to return cultural heritage objects, to the place where they were "born", praised and contributed to the formation of the called cultural background. Her place in the Acropolis museum is empty. Her sisters are waiting for her return.
