Hygieia
Head of Health. A well-known work to the general public since it symbolically adorns many medical spaces. Its symbolism does not exclude the possibility of being found in any interior space, on the contrary, its presence is perceived as a hymn to the good of health.
Health. The goddess Hygeia was the daughter of Asclepius. She held a separate place from that of her father in the cult since it was associated with the prevention of diseases of the body and soul. The sweet rendering of her facial features, the well-combed hair in a bun, the tilt to the right emphasizing her slender neck, is the work of the ancient Greek sculptor, Scopas. It is a well-preserved bust and is in the National Archaeological Museum of Athens.
